अगली गोष्ठी कब होगी?

28 जून की गोष्ठी का ब्यौरा
28 जून को मौसम बहुत अच्छा था इसलिए कुछ कम लोग आ पाए। लेकिन मौसम आया, और मौसम की तरह उसका साथ बहुत अच्छा लगा।
एक बार किसी ने मुझसे पूछा था कि कविता, ग़ज़ल, नज़्म, रुबाई, छंद, सवैया, कुंडली आदि में क्या अंतर है। सोचा ये इंटरनेट पर कहीं न कहीं तो मिल ही जाएगा। सारी जानकारी तो नहीं मिली, लेकिन कुछ मदद इस शोधकार्य से अवश्य मिल सकती है।
कवि गोष्ठी में क्या हुआ?
प्रशांत खरे ने तुलसी दास रचित रामचरितमानस में से एक छंद सुनाया जिसमें श्री राम कौशल्या की संतान भी है और ईश्वर भी।
निहित कौल ने अपनी विरह कविता छोड़ कर अन्य ग़ज़ल/कविताएँ सुनाई। लयबद्ध।
मौसम ने अपनी माँ (रंजना अग्रवाल) और नानी की बेहतरीन ग़ज़लें गा कर सुनाई।
अभिनव शुक्ल ने अपनी नई कविताओं को प्रस्तुत किया। उनमें से एक थी महाभारत के उस प्रसंग पर जब अर्जुन और दुर्योधन श्री कृष्ण के पास जाते हैं उन से सहायता मांगने - कुरुक्षेत्र के युद्ध में।
मैंने निम्नलिखित कविताएँ सुनाई -

महाभारत का प्रसंग:
महाभारत का युद्ध प्रारंभ होने में कुछ दिन ही शेष थे। कौरव और पाण्डव अपनी-अपनी तैयारियाँ कर रहे थे युद्ध के लिए। अपने-अपने पक्ष के राजाओं को निमंत्रित कर रहे थे। भगवान श्री कृष्ण को निमन्त्रित करने के लिए अर्जुन और दुर्योधन दोनों एक साथ पहुंचे। भगवान ने दोनों के समक्ष अपना चुनाव प्रश्न रखा। एक ओर अकेले शस्त्रहीन श्रीकृष्ण और दूसरी ओर श्रीकृष्ण की सारी सशस्त्र सेना-इन दोनों में से जिसे जो चाहिए वह माँग ले। दुर्योधन ने सारी सेना के समक्ष निरस्त्र कृष्ण को अस्वीकार कर दिया; किन्तु अपने पक्ष में अकेले निरस्त्र भगवान् कृष्ण को देखकर अर्जुन मन-ही-मन बड़ा प्रसन्न हुआ। अर्जुन ने भगवान् को अपना सारथी बनाया। भीषण संग्राम हुआ। अन्ततः पांडव जीते और कौरव हार गये। इतिहास साक्षी है कि बिना लड़े भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने अर्जुन का सारथी मात्र बनकर पाण्डवों को जिता दिया और शक्तिशाली सेना प्राप्त करके भी कौरव को हारना पड़ा। दुर्योधन ने भूल की जो स्वयं भगवान् के समक्ष सेना को ही महत्त्वपूर्ण समझा और सैन्य बल के समक्ष भगवान, को ठुकरा दिया।

Poetry session: A report (May 24th)
On May 24th, we had a get together to appreciate and enjoy Hindi literature।
- Rukmini recited few of her heartfelt ghazals। And one by Shakeel Badaayuni
- Nihit sang his composition which recounted how he longed for his wife while she was away back home in India। He also read "Kutte" written by Faiz Ahmad Faiz
- Sher read few sher's from shaayari lifted from the internet। He also read Kaka Hatharasi's "motiabind" and "Masoori ki sair"
- Rita recited a beautiful nazm “Qaidi #786” from Veer-Zara. And also a ghazal "saamane hai jo use log buraa kahate hai.n" written by Sudarshan Faakir
- Manju read inspiring incidents from the life of Baa and Bapu।
- Santosh sang his chhands on Ram and Krishna
- Abhinav read his new poems and then sang his evergreen creation "Valentine"
- Farha read her own brand new poetry - one in response to my Long Weekend poem। Another one was addressed to Abhinav. And then she had two additional beautiful ghazals.

- Soumya sang a ghazal from Jagjit Singh and then "paa.nv chhu lene do" and "ghungharuu kii tarah"

Poetry session: A report (April 26th)
On April 26th, we had a get together to appreciate and enjoy Hindi literature।
Next session is on May 24th and I expect the same local artists (Aniruddh, Sanjeev, Rukmini, Farha, Anju, Bhashinee) to attend, in addition to other local talent such as Chandana Dixit, Vikas Gupta, Santosh Pal, Abhinav, Shivam, Govind, Jay, Soumya, Subhash and Pushpa Saxena।

- - Farha read an article after having read this article। Her article had a different perspective. She made a point through incidents in her own life that culture can survive and thrive, if there is a conscious effort. Farha also presented beautiful shers from the works of Bashir Badr

- - Sanjeev read his poems of angst and love and then played the songs that he has composed ।

You are cordially invited to the next session of this monthly series where local Hindi (and Urdu and sister dialects such as Brij, Avadhi etc.) enthusiasts gather to read either their own writing or a work of literature from their favorite author/poet. It is a cozy family atmosphere where every family member is welcome – from kids to grandparents. To bring food for potluck is optional. There is plenty of food to feed everyone.

Poetry session: A report (March 22nd)
On Mar 22nd, we had a get together to appreciate and enjoy Hindi literature.
- Manish rendered Gurdas Mann’s loveable ode to the days gone by and the decadence of the present
- Shivam gave a fresh outlook on life through – Do chaar din kii guftagu
- Rukmini recited few of her heartfelt ghazals. Later, on CD, we heard the same ghazals sung by Anup Jalota.
- Sanjeev read his poem on Kashmir. This poem is also available on a CD, music by Sanjeev himself.
- Subhash read Shail Chaturvedi’s poem and soulfully rendered my parodies – na kisii ke BLOG par LINKED huu.N; and “aa lauT ke aajaa NRI”
- Soumya beautifully sang Sahir’s ghazal – Dekha hai zindagi ko; and the evergreen song - Abhi Na jaao chho.D kar
- Shakun presented Neeraj’s immortal poem - ab to majahab koi
- Govind read his own poem and presented Mahendra Ajnabi’s poem Chaar bhoot
- Farah presented beautiful shers from the works of Bashir Badr
- Rita recited a beautiful nazm “Qaidi #786” from Veer-Zaara
- Manju read Kaka Hathrasi’s hilarious poetry – “rail me.n saa.np”
- Jay gave great renditions of raag malkauns and raag malhar
- Abhinav read a funny parody, a poem on the fallouts of success, and sang a beautiful and hummable song “zindagii ek aam kaa pe.D hai”
- I read following poems
1. Maatra maatraa kaa antar
2. Kalank
3. mrigatrishNaa
4. mahal ek ret kaa
5. mahatv sudaamaa hone kaa
6. manaao Holi, manaao St. Patrick’s Day
- Program ended with a lively antaakSharii
Next session is on April 26th and I expect the same local artists (Abhinav, Shivam, Sanjeev, Govind, Rukmini, Jay, Soumya, Subhash) to attend, in addition to other local talent such as Chandana Dixit, Vikas Gupta, Santosh Pal, and Pushpa Saxena.

Report of last session:
On Feb 23rd, we had a get together to appreciate and enjoy Hindi literature.
- Rita read sher-o-shaayari from “Hum Aap ke hai.n kaun” and a beautiful nazm “Qaidi #786” from Veer-Zaara
- Manju read Kaka Hatharasi’s hilarious poetry – Top kaa license, Bu.Dhaape kaa ishq, and Chamachaa
- Manju also read Nida Fazli’s ghazals
- Soumya sang Nida Fazli’s ghazal “kabhii kisii ko muqammal” (I read the parody).
- Sanjeev Sharma read two of his touching poems. And then he presented them as songs that were composed and directed by him and sung by his wife, Chandrika Dixit, a Bollywood singer
- Vikas Gupta read his own poems as well as a hilarious Haryanvi poem, Dhanno, written by Mukesh Ashq
- Santosh Kumar Pal read (sang) his poem on Krishna and Sudama and then sang some chhands by Rasakhan
- I read following five poems:

4. Amar Prem
